ForeFlight Fly-Out: Cool off in northern climes

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in Bozeman, Montana, is a great starting point for touring Yellowstone National Park by air, as this Aviation Husky pilot and passenger are doing. Pilots who stop in at the Yellowstone Jetcenter at the airport during the month of June can participate in the ForeFlight Fly-Out. Photo by Mike Fizer.

AOPA and ForeFlight, a Boeing company, teamed up in April to highlight different regions of the country for pilots to fly to through July. So far, the program has highlighted airports in the South and West. In June, we are highlighting nine in the North.

To take part in the fly-out, land at these airports and go inside the participating FBO or business. ForeFlight has a content pack in its electronic flight bag that you can download. Each location will have a “Trip Kit” with services and local amenities listed to help you plan activities at the destination. Once you land at a designated airport, let the folks at the front desk know you are participating in the fly-out to get free ForeFlight swag.

Three winners will be chosen each month to get a free one-year Performance Plus subscription to ForeFlight as well as a swag bag. On August 1, one winner will receive the grand prize: “an iPad, a one-year Performance Plus subscription, a Sentry Portable ADS-B Receiver, and a ForeFlight Swag Bag,” according to ForeFlight.
