Mid-Continent offers multifunction digital clock series

May 5, 2021

Get local or Zulu time; set a flight timer, countdown timer, or stopwatch; and monitor volts, outside air temperature, and secondary air temperature while simultaneously charging one or two devices with the new Chronos digital clock series from Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics.

The clocks start at $499 and can fit into a standard two-inch cutout in the instrument panel. They feature an internal battery to keep the time and flight timer memory, and the battery can be replaced in the field when needed.

“There was a clear gap in the market for modern, multifunction clocks,” said Matthew Harrah, Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics senior vice president of technology and products. “First and foremost, panel space is a premium. Our customers wanted more built-in functionality and access to fast-charging USB power, all-in-one.”

The digital clock release comes less than three months after the company released its Flex MD23 Series Custom Function Display that also fits in a two-inch cutout and can be configured to “serve as almost any instrument, ranging from a basic annunciator (landing gear, master caution) to sophisticated instruments such as a radar altimeter display, angle of attack indicator, altimeter, or airspeed indicator,” AOPA previously reported.
